The Seminoles, who are No. 5 in the latest coaches’ poll, trailed 2-0 against the No. 17 Tigers after the first four innings before Kaley Mudge and Jahni Kerr scored off a Sydney Sherrill double.
Harding then gave Florida State the lead, smashing a home run, her 11th of the season and ACC-leading ninth in conference play. The Tigers, pushing until the end, tied the game going into the seventh inning, forcing Harding to come up clutch once again for the thrilling 5-4 win.
In her last 10 games, Harding has blasted seven home runs and compiled 21 RBI. She ranks fourth in the ACC in RBI with 43 on the season.
Clemson will get a chance at redemption when the two teams face off again Friday at 6 p.m. ET on the ACC Network.
