Lyon shut out C.F. Monterrey 4-0 to take home the Women’s International Champions Cup title Saturday night at Providence Park.
Lyon’s Lindsey Horan, who felt right at home in the Portland venue, notched a brace in the final, adding to her tournament tally of three goals, earning her Player of the Tournament honors.
The USWNT midfielder buried her first finish of the night in the 39th minute, slotting home a penalty kick from the spot to put her side up 1-0.

Horan quickly doubled Lyon’s lead, one-timing a cross out of the air for a spectacular finish in the 43rd minute.

A pair of second-half goals from Sara Dabritz and Signe Bruun put the game out of reach, sealing the WICC trophy for Lyon. The French side is the only team to win the competition twice, following up their 2019 WICC victory.
Earlier in the day, Chelsea prevailed over the Portland Thorns in the tournament’s third-place match, downing the NWSL club 1-0.
Guro Reiten logged the lone goal for Chelsea, one-timing a loose ball in the box to put the Blues up in the 64th minute.
