NCAA women’s basketball champion Aliyah Boston will be honored once more, this time in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The South Carolina star, who is a native of St. Thomas, will be honored with “Aliyah Boston Day” on Saturday, June 4, U.S. Virgin Islands Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. announced Thursday.

The rising senior forward will be welcomed at King Airport on the island of St. Thomas with the unveiling of special sign to celebrate her accomplishments. She also will be honored with a parade in downtown Charlotte Amalie and a special ceremony where the parade ends at the Waterfront Promenade.

Boston has had a stellar year, winning the NCAA tournament Most Outstanding Player award, SEC Player of the Year and the Wooden Award.

She recently signed a deal with Under Armour to launch the first-ever UA Next women’s basketball camp in St. Thomas.
