Top-ranked Nebraska volleyball is 10-0 on the season after rolling past FGCU 3-1 on Sunday at Bob Devaney Sports Center. The Husker defense smothered the Eagles with 16 blocks and a .068 opponent attack rate across four sets to notch its latest NCAA women's college volleyball win.
Husker Volleyball Snuffs Out FGCU's Offense
Several Huskers turned in individual bests on the stat sheet.
Manaia Ogbechie anchored the front row with a career high of eight blocks and four aces. Teraya Sigler led all attackers with 13 kills, her highest total this season, while Harper Murray added 11 on .556 hitting. Meanwhile, Olivia Mauch recorded her first career double-double with 17 digs and 10 assists.
Still, FGCU (3-7) was able to grab the third frame, pushing the match to four sets at 25-10, 25-17, 25-27, 25-14. With the victory, the Huskers have now opened 10-0 for the 17th time in women's program history.
The team also sits at 70 aces through 10 matches — a pace unmatched since at least 2000.
