Nebraska women's college volleyball extended its unbeaten streak on Thursday night, sweeping New Mexico 25-12, 25-13, 25-15 inside Husker volleyball's newly-renovated John Cook Arena. A record crowd of 10,497 fans watched the No. 1 Huskers improve to 5-0 this NCAA season, all without dropping a set as the 2026 Nebraska volleyball schedule continues to ramp up.
Nebraska Volleyball Continues its Perfect Season
Nebraska's offense was balanced from the opening serve.
Manaia Ogbechie and Teraya Sigler each finished with nine kills, with Ogbechie hitting .538 and posting a team-high five blocks. Harper Murray added eight kills of her own while Bergen Reilly distributed 22 assists. And libero Olivia Mauch anchored the back row with 11 digs.
That production left New Mexico with nowhere to hide. Nebraska hit .356 as a team while the Lobos limped to a .046 clip. Sigler created the atmosphere, riding a refreshed game-day outlook to the win.
"This is such a big environment to play in," she said. "No matter if you're a freshman or a senior, you're capable of doing that. That takes a lot of self-talk and confidence to pour into yourself, and you can't do that without the village around you."

The Husker volleyball schedule picks back up Friday when No. 20 Baylor visits at 8 PM ET on the Big Ten Network. The Bears enter as the highest-ranked opponent on Nebraska's non-conference slate and the first test of their NCAA volleyball season.
