The 18-year-old gymnastics star visited the school on Saturday, kicking off her freshman year at Auburn.
“It’s amazing how everyone here has been so supportive and so welcoming about me coming here,” said Lee of her new Auburn gymnastics teammates.
While Lee is ready for some rest after the Tokyo Olympics, the all-around champion is still looking forward to competing at the collegiate level.
“I’m really excited for how this season is going to go because I feel like we are going to be really good this year.”

Lee is also looking forward to capitalizing on the new NCAA policy, allowing student-athletes to profit off their name, image and likeness.
“I want to help be the face of that and help other people in the future know that they can do college and still make money. I feel like it’s a win-win situation.”
