Sunday’s victory comes after Team USA suffered back-to-back losses, first against Team WNBA in the All-Star Game and again in Friday’s exhibition match against Australia.
In a post-game interview, Wilson said the team “had to get the job done.”
“We just got everybody involved,” said Wilson of the squad’s successful outing.
Team USA will face Nigeria again on July 27 in the team’s first preliminary-round game in Tokyo.
