Trinity Rodman was the lone bright spot in the Washington Spirit’s 3-1 away loss to the Chicago Red Stars.
The NWSL rookie continued her scoring tear on Sunday night, going it alone for the Spirit’s only goal. Rodman, stripping Chicago’s defense, dashed past the Red Stars’ backline before beating the keeper to put Washington on the board.

Rodman now has four goals in her NWSL rookie season, slotting into ninth on the league’s leading scorers list. Needless to say, she’s lived up to the hype.
The 19-year-old striker will have a chance to add to her goals tally on Saturday when Washington hosts Portland at home.
