U.S. women’s national team head coach Vlatko Andonosvki will be assisting the U.S. men’s national team at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

“I will be helping the men’s team a little bit with some work,” Andonovski said following the USWNT’s 2-1 win Sunday over Germany.

U.S. Soccer technical director Barry Pauwels said Andonovski will be part of the advance scouting unit for the USMNT. He’ll also work to identify methods to incorporate into the federation’s coaching license course.

As for his work with the USWNT, Andonovski said he will spend some time analyzing the year.

While the team won the SheBelieves Cup and the Concacaf W Championship, the year ended on a rockier note. The USWNT lost three straight to England, Spain and Germany – the first such skid since 1993.

“Analysis of the year, see where we’re at in the process and what else we need to do to get ready for the next camp and then for the World Cup,” ” he said.

The USWNT next will come together after the new year, with two games to be played against New Zealand in January. The Football Ferns will provide ample preparation for the USWNT, which will play its entire group stage at the 2023 World Cup in New Zealand.
