The WNBA’s Commissioner’s Cup is heating up.

With the league’s 25th season well underway, the inaugural in-season tournament is beginning to take shape as well. Eastern and Western Conference cup games will conclude on July 11, and the championship game will be played on Aug. 12 after the Olympic break.

The Connecticut Sun and Seattle Storm lead the Eastern and Western Conferences, with each team currently undefeated in Commissioner’s Cup matchups. The rest of the field is where it gets more competitive.

The Dallas Wings pulled out a crucial 85-81 win in their Western Conference game against Phoenix on Tuesday night. Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings in scoring with 22 points, her third consecutive 20-point game of the season. Marina Mabrey added 14 points, six rebounds and five assists to lift Dallas over Phoenix down the stretch.

The Wings were able to persevere despite Brittney Griner putting up a massive double-double of 27 points and 16 rebounds for the Mercury. With the win, Dallas surpassed Phoenix in the Commissioner’s Cup standings by one game.
