China’s Eileen Gu clinched her third medal and second gold of the Beijing Olympics, topping the podium in the freeski halfpipe Friday.

The 18-year-old dominated the competition, taking the lead with her first-run score of 93.23, before raising the bar on her second run, recording a medal-sealing 95.25.

Canada’s Cassie Sharpe came second to Gu for silver, while teammate Rachael Karker took home bronze.

“It has been two straight weeks of the most intense highs and lows I’ve ever experienced in my life,” said Gu of her Olympic journey. “It has changed my life forever,”

Gu’s gold makes her the first freeski athlete to medal in three events in a single Olympics.
