Caitlin Clark celebrated her return to the Indiana Fever by outfitting the full roster with her unreleased Nike Caitlin 1s. The signature shoes don't hit shelves until October 1st, but Clark made sure her locker room got first dibs.
Caitlin Clark Returns From FIBA World Cup 2026 with Nike Surprise
The surprise came days after USA Basketball's gold medal run at the 2026 FIBA World Cup in Berlin. Clark helped Team USA top France 97-79 in the final, putting up 7.8 points and 5.3 assists per game over six contests. She entered the gold medal game as a reserve and knocked down a long-range three in the closing minutes that helped seal the win.
Back in Indiana, her teammates were ready to celebrate. Rookie Makayla Timpson held a shoe to her ear like a phone and posted the moment online. "My CC win a gold medal, she come back & give the whole team a pair of shoes!" Timpson wrote.
Still, not everyone on the Fever roster can lace up the Caitlin 1s on the court. Aliyah Boston (Adidas), Kelsey Mitchell (PUMA), and Sophie Cunningham (Adidas) all have competing endorsement deals that keep them from wearing Nike in games.
Indiana holds a 26-14 record heading into the final week of regular season play. Currently, that positioning is good for the No. 5 seed come the WNBA playoffs. Their next matchup is against the Toronto Tempo on Friday at 7:30 PM ET on ION.
