FIFA announced on Wednesday the 64-match schedule for the 2023 Women’s World Cup, co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

The opening match and ceremony for the tournament will take place on July 20 at New Zealand’s Eden Park in Auckland. A month later, on Aug. 20, the final will be played at Stadium Australia in Sydney.
Group stages will take place from July 20 through Aug. 3. The Round of 16 begins on Aug. 5 and will run through Aug. 8. The quarterfinals will be played from Aug. 11-12 and the semifinals from Aug. 15-16.
A total of 12 group-stage matches will take place, with six played in New Zealand and six in Australia. Australia will host six matches in the Round of 16 and New Zealand will host two. The quarterfinal and semifinal games will be split between the two hosts.
So far, Australia and New Zealand are the only two teams qualified. New Zealand has a spot in Group A, while Australia heads Group B. The final groups will be announced once all 32 teams have qualified.
FIFA previously announced the branding for the World Cup, headlined by the tournament slogan “Beyond Greatness.”
