Geno Auriemma provided an update on injured UConn stars Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd ahead of the team’s Sunday game against Creighton.
The Huskies have not played since Dec. 19 after a series of contests were postponed due to COVID-19 issues.
Bueckers has not taken the court since injuring her knee during UConn’s Dec. 5 contest against Notre Dame. The sophomore star underwent surgery to repair an anterior tibial plateau fracture on Dec. 14, with an eight-week recovery period post-operation.
Geno says Paige Bueckers' rehab is going well. "Feels good, looks good."

Aubrey Griffin is dealing with a disc injury in her back and there's a good possibility she'll need surgery. "I don't envision her being back the rest of the season," Geno said
Junior forward Aubrey Griffin has been away from the team as well, dealing with a disc injury to her back. “I don’t envision her being back the rest of the season,” said Geno.
Only seven players are expected to be available for Sunday’s game against Creighton.
