The Pride played to a 1-1 draw against the Courage on Saturday in Becky Burleigh’s debut as Orlando’s interim head coach.
Sydney Leroux opened up scoring in the game’s 50th minute, getting on the end of a well-placed ball from Ali Krieger to put the Pride up 1-0.

Following the tie, Leroux talked about taking the field for the first time with Burleigh at the helm.
“It’s a breath of fresh air. I can’t tell you guys that enough,” the striker said. “It’s the feeling of someone wanting to be here for us. Everyone feels that.”
Burleigh was announced as Orlando’s new head coach after Marc Skinner stepped down from the position. Skinner, who was rumored to be leaving for Manchester United weeks before officially accepting the job, replaced Casey Stoney as the European club’s manager.
