Arike Ogunbowale powered the Dallas Wings past the Connecticut Sun in a matchup that turned lopsided in the third quarter. A 20-2 run broke the game open at a sold-out College Park Center, as Diamond Miller's season-high 22 points for the Sun ultimately weren't enough to secure the win, and the Sun fell 83-63.
Arike Ogunbowale Leads Balanced Dallas Wings Attack
Ogunbowale led the charge for Dallas in the third quarter. She finished with 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting and five assists. Jessica Shepard matched her with 15 points and a team-high nine rebounds, while Azzi Fudd added 12.
Diamond Miller, Olivia Nelson-Ododa Lead Sun Effort
Miller kept the Sun competitive, especially early in the game. The forward posted a season-high 22 points on 4-of-8 from three, tying her career high from beyond the arc.
Center Olivia Nelson-Ododa, meanwhile, contributed eight points and 11 boards. But Connecticut couldn't keep pace after Dallas's second-half surge.
The Sun (7-23) played without leading scorer Brittney Griner, who missed her fourth straight game with a knee injury. On the other end, the Wings (19-11) snapped a two-game skid and earned their first home win over Connecticut since August 2023.
Dallas next faces the Washington Mystics on Wednesday at 7:30 PM ET on WNBA League Pass. Connecticut, meanwhile, look to bounce back against the Phoenix Mercury on Friday at 7:30 PM ET on ION.
