Houston put an end to Orlando’s regular-season unbeaten streak Saturday night, downing the Pride 2-1.

The Dash struck early in the match, with Maria Sanchez punching in a deflected shot in the 18th minute of play to put Houston up 1-0.

The Dash doubled their lead in the 26th minute when Veronica Latsko headed in a scoop pass from Sophie Schmidt.

Orlando responded in the 49th minute off a stunning Marta set piece. Gunnhildur Jonsdottir poked in the curling ball from the corner to cut Houston’s lead in half.

The Pride’s late-game push ultimately wasn’t enough to overcome the Dash’s early charge, handing the team their first loss of the season.

Houston’s Saturday-night victory extends the club’s home unbeaten streak to nine.
